My artistic approach :
Since I was very young, I have been attracted by color, light and drawing. Although I am familiar with different disciplines, I particularly like oil and charcoal.
I travel between figuration and abstraction, the latter offering my mind a freedom that is essential to me. For me, nothing exists on earth until it has been thought out. Sovereign Earth remains my primary inspiration: it is a symphony without false notes, which I like to observe, feel and tell.
My transparencies let light through and reveal the materials. I like that color suggests as much as it reveals, that it leaves a place for the imaginary and what is not immediately visible.
Each painting is a moment of emotion, made up of silences, like an escape from the hustle and bustle of the world. Yet, at the heart of these silences, nothing is empty. I walk the path of the invisible through the visible, seeking to reveal what is felt more than what is shown.
Each work deserves to be paused for a moment, so that it can gradually reveal its richness and allow everyone to find their own perspective, their own emotion.
The world of painters such as J. M. W. Turner, Ewa Karpinska, Claude Monet, Paul Cézanne or Zao Wou-Ki has probably accompanied and nourished my gaze.
Artist’s note :
I dared to imagine a world of colors where joy and light creep in. I removed the dementia to place my silences there, erased despair to touch suffering. My painting is about intimacy, about what is experienced in the depths of oneself. It is for me a space of freedom, silence and light, where the visible becomes the passage towards the invisible.
